About the event

This course is accessible to everyone

To make the most of the benefits of your session, take the time to rest / pause in a calm and warm place well before the start of the course. Prepare your cocoon, carpet, cushion, plaid, bricks, straps, candle, incense, and... make this moment a relaxing break just for you and don't forget to switch off the phone to only connect yourself and isolate yourself from the outside world.

And keep in mind, the 3 fundamental principles of Yin yoga:

– Respect your limits and find your happy medium. – Stay calm and move as little as possible. – Hold the postures as long as possible, savoring the sensations and come out of the pose if you feel pain.

Learn more about Yin Yoga

A relatively recent practice developed in the 1990s which combines the precepts of Chinese medicine, Taoism and Indian yoga, Yin Yoga, which allows you to find calm and serenity, is a course particularly suitable for everyone, beginners and advanced. In Yin Yoga the postures (asanas) are held for several minutes and the vast majority take place on the ground. In case of difficulty, the posture is adapted with small equipment (bricks, bolsters, blankets, straps) so as to be able to stay there to relax, release superficial and deeper physical tensions, release the breath which will lengthen and revive and remedy energy stagnations in the energy vessels (nadis, meridians).

Because of its great gentleness, one might think that Yin Yoga does not really have any effect on physical fitness. However, its benefits are numerous: its practice focuses on the work of connective tissues such as ligaments, bones, joints or even cartilage, which results in improving the overall flexibility of the body as well as its posture. Staying in the same posture for a certain period of time releases tension and recirculates energy, resulting in an overall rebalancing of the body.

Regular practice of Yin Yoga is also beneficial for psychological balance: it allows you to focus on the present moment and slow down the pace. Once calm has been regained, letting go and relaxation are encouraged, as is better management of stress and daily annoyances.
